Loan Watch

During the January transfer window a number of players moved out on loan to play regular football. Here's a look at how some of them got on last weekend.

Darryl Duffy netted his first Airdrieonians goal from the penalty spot as The Diamonds defeated Queens Park 2-1 in League One. That win moved Airdrieonians nine points clear of the relegation play-off spot but left Queens Park rooted to the bottom. Robbie Leitch was a second half substitute for The Spiders as he replaced Luke Donnelly on 55 minutes.

Darren Whyte played the full 90 minutes for Forfar Athletic as The Loons climbed out of the League One relegation play-off spot with an impressive 5-1 win over promotion play-off chasing Stranraer. Cameron MacPherson made his first start for Stranraer since joining The Blues on a development loan in January but was subbed at half-time.

Like Darren Whyte, Jordan Kirkpatrick also featured for the full match as Jim Goodwin's 10 man Alloa held Arbroath to a 0-0 draw at Gayfield. Ross Stewart was ruled out for The Wasps after picking up a knock.

In League Two, Andrew McDonald helped Elgin City to a 2-2 draw with top of the table Montrose. While Conor O'Keefe and Evan Horne were on the bench for Annan's 3-0 loss away to Stirling Albion with only the latter coming on on 77 minutes.
