New Saints star Ryan Flynn has had a good start to life in the black and white stripes, and is determined to see the club achieve success this season.
The 29 year-old midfielder started his third match for The Buddies at the weekend in a 2-0 victory over Dunfermline, and has drew plaudits from the fans for his impressive performance in the match.
He said: "I'm happy to make any sort of contribution, but the most important thing was the win. I thought from start to finish we dominated the game and didn't really feel under threat; then they had the chance in the second half and I was thinking 'surely not'.
"Apart from that, I thought to a man we were tremendous and it was a good three points but a great performance.
"We changed the shape a little bit, with Me, McGinn and Ginto (Magennis) in the middle of midfield. I thought we did well and allowed the full backs to get free and bomb forward.
"I thought throughout we were a good attacking threat and I'm just happy to do what ever the manager asks me to do really."
Jack Ross' side put in a confident performance against The Pars, after their two previous games didn't see Saints hit the heights they've been used to this season - despite winning one of the games 1-0 at home to Brechin. The game before was a 4-1 defeat against Livingston away from home, which saw Flynn score his first goal for Saints only two minutes into the match.
He continued: "The only one I really say is the Livingston one, a win's a win at the end of the day. It was a tricky game, and what I would say is we play a lot of good football, but the pitch against Brechin was dry and bobbly and you can really zip it about. The rain was lashing down on Saturday, but it helps us zip the ball about, create a lot of chances, getting balls wide and balls in the box.
"I suppose maybe if people were questioning us, we answered that, but within the dressing room obviously 1-0 against Brechin is still a good result and 2-0 against Dunfermline is even better."
"We just want to keep winning games and doing our job, I mean teams are trying to catch us, but that's not for us to worry about. We focus on working hard every day and we're looking forward to this game on Saturday and doing our job, and that's all we can do really. Keep it going, so far so good - the only blip has been Livingston."
Flynn joined the club in the January transfer window, and admits that since his first day in the job he could tell there was a good feeling around the dressing room.
He also admits that winning the league title would be one of his biggest achievements in football.
He said: "There's definitely buzz, I think there was buzz when I first walked in the door. You can tell by the way training is everyday that there's definitely a buzz and everyone's excited.
"People are looking forward to Saturdays, nobody is shying away from anything, everyone is desperate to play and desperate to play a part in hopefully getting promotion and winning the title, that's our aim - we've got nine games to go and that's all we've got to do.
"It would definitely be up there, I've never won anything. Obviously I won things at youth team level, but not a first team - I've nearly have. But I just want to play my part and help the team get over the line."
