St Mirren Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Dean Lyness on a short-term deal.
Dean joins the club until January after having been training with the squad for a few weeks.
The Englishman began his career at Birmingham and has had spells in Scotland with Hearts and East Fife.
After returning to England he spent time with Kidderminster, Burton Albion, Blackpool and Nuneaton Town.
Speaking to stmirren.com, Dean said: "I've been in training for a while and obviously made an impression on the coaching staff.
"I got the call that the club was going to make me an offer and I'm delighted to get it sorted.
"I just want to make as best an impression as I can and make sure I am ready if the required."
Saints goalkeeping coach Jamie Langfield said: "It's something we had been looking at with Danny Rogers' injury.
"It was important to get someone in and we know he'd played at a good level.
"Dean has a great work rate and work ethic and impressed us."
