St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Adam Eckersley has joined Ladbrokes League One side Forfar Athletic on loan until the end of the season.
The Englishman joined the club on deadline day in the 2017 January transfer window. Adam went on to make 42 appearances for Saints scoring once for the Buddies.
During his time at St Mirren, Adam helped St Mirren escape relegation to League One in his first few months at the club before playing an important role in our Ladbrokes Championship winning side last season.
St Mirren manager Oran Kearney said: “I think it’s been a frustrating time for Adam in relation to the events of the summer and then his operation and rehab to come back from that.
“I have a good relationship with Adam, I’ve always got on well with him and I’m pleased for him to be getting out and getting on with his football. It’s also with a scenario that suits him and he can move on with the rest of his life and do things he would like to do.
“All-in-all it’s an amicable ending for both parties.”
Everyone at St Mirren would like to thank Adam for all his contributions in his time at the Buddies and wish him all the best for his future.
