St Mirren Football Club is saddened to hear of the passing of its former programme editor Alistair McLachlan.
Jim Crawford, SMiSA committee member, worked with Alistair on the programme and said: "Alistair was a very knowledgable, kind and friendly ambassador during his time at St Mirren.
"When I was an enthusiastic programme contributor, Alistair helped guide me through the minefield of amateur journalism. He was responsible for contacting many of St Mirren's past players for interviews and guests of the club.
"He was a very well respected gentleman throughout the football community."
