St Mirren supporters recently raised £1000 - which the club donated to Poppyscotland - following an online auction and raffle of signed special one-off match worn first-team shirts.
The first-team shirts were emblazoned with poppies in our Betfred Cup match at home to Morton to commemorate Remembrance Day 2020.
A home top that was signed by the entire first-team squad was put to auction where it was won by Gordon Clarke who bid £500.
The club then raffled off Jak Alnwick’s signed goalkeeper top on our e-store. This raised £460 with the club rounding up to £500.
Gordon Michie, Head of Fundraising at Poppyscotland said: "This has been an especially challenging Scottish Poppy Appeal with thousands of our volunteers forced to stay at home due to the pandemic.
"Because of that, the fantastic support we’ve received once again this year from St Mirren is even more important and will go a great way to enable Poppyscotland to continue providing our life-changing support to the Armed Forces community.
"Our sincere thanks go to all of the supporters who helped to raise the superb total."
The club would like to thank supporters for their generosity and showing their support for a worthy cause.
