St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jordan Jones on loan until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old joins Saints from English League One side Wigan Athletic.
Beginning his career at Middlesbrough, the Northern Ireland international has plenty of Scottish football experience having played over 100 games across spells at Kilmarnock and Rangers between 2016 and 2021.
Jordan spent a portion of last season on loan at Sunderland where he made 21 appearances and scored three goals as they reached the English League One play-offs.
Speaking after signing, Jordan said: "I've been speaking with the gaffer for the last 10 to 14 days and got a really good feel from him after the first phone call.
He made me feel like I'd be a really valued member of the squad here. He has seen me play and believes in what I can do.
"I'm at a stage of my career where I feel like it's vital for me to play and to start doing well again."
Saints manager Jim Goodwin believes Jordan will add something to his forward line that has been lacking this season.
Jordan knows the Premiership really well up here. He tore it up with Kilmarnock and then got a big move to Rangers.
"We’ve been working extremely hard on it over the last couple of weeks.
"He gives us something that we have been missing all season which is that real injection of pace and creativity at the top end.
"Hopefully he’ll assist the forward players and score some of his own as well."
