St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Jamie McGrath has tonight joined Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old joined Saints in January 2020 from League of Ireland side Dundalk and made 79 appearances for the Buddies over his two years in Paisley.
His fine form in the 2020/21 season - in which he scored 17 goals and won the St Mirren Player of The Year – saw him earn international recognition for the Republic of Ireland where he became a regular for Stephen Kenny’s side during their World Cup qualifiers.
Jamie scored three goals this season to take his St Mirren tally to 20 with his final goal, in a 1-1 draw with Livingston, winning the cinch Goal of the Month award for November.
Everyone at St Mirren would like to thank Jamie for his service to the club and wish him all the very best for his future.
