Saints secured their status in the cinch Premiership next season with back-to-back wins over St Johnstone and Dundee.
And now his side face Livingston at the SMiSA Stadium on Wednesday night in the final home match of the 2021/22 season with a seventh place finish very much still the aim.
The manager knows tomorrow's opposition will be provide a stern test for his side, but he hopes his side can pick up the points as they look to take the fight to finish best of the rest to the final day.
We’re looking to build on what’s been done recently," Stephen told the press this afternoon.
"We’ve got two big results in a pressure situation and now it’s about building for next season.
"We owe it to the fans for sticking with us all season to finish it off in style."
"Livingston are a hard team to play against," he continued.
"It’s big credit to David Martindale because people thought they might go at the start of the season but they’ve turned it around.
"If we get three points it certainly gives us an opportunity to finish seventh.
"That’s what we’re going all out to do."
