St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Jay Henderson will join cinch Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan until the end of the season.
The St Mirren Youth Academy graduate has made 38 first-team appearances since making his debut in April 2021.
Game time has been limited for the 20-year-old this season and it was felt important for Jay to gain valuable playing experience to continue his development ahead of next season.
Manager Stephen Robinson said: "With no reserve side at the moment it's important that Jay goes out and gets games so he becomes an option for next season.
"We're sending him to a club that play the right way with good people in charge of it. Moving away from home and having to deal with the ups and downs of football we feel will bring Jay on tremendously.
"We've done this with Kieran Offord, Lewis Jamieson, Dean McMaster, Ewan Thomson and Aiden Gilmartin and we feel it will benefit all the players."
Everyone at St Mirren wishes Jay well in his time at Inverness.
