St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Dylan Reid's move to English Premier League Crystal Palace has now been finalised.
With his contract at Saints due to expire in the summer, the 17-year-old has moved to the Eagles on a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee with significant add-ons and sell-on.
A product of our Youth Academy, Dylan became the youngest ever player for St Mirren when he made his first-team debut at just 16 years and five days old in a cinch Premiership match away to Rangers in March 2021. It was an appearance which also saw Dylan become the youngest ever player to play in the SPFL Premiership.
He subsequently made a further seven appearances for the first-team with his last coming against Hearts at Tynecastle in January.
Manager Stephen Robinson said: "Dylan is a kid with great potential and someone who I would have liked to have worked with more, but it was a very good deal for the football club and an ongoing deal that could rise.
It’s huge credit to the Academy and Allan McManus and his staff. We’re producing good players and that’s the lifeblood of the football club – bringing in players, developing them and selling them.
"Clubs in the English Premier League are paying for potential now and he has that. Crystal Palace have conducted themselves very well throughout the transfer as well which has to be credited."
