Diarmuid O’Carroll has been named as part of Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland backroom team for their UEFA Euro 2024 qualification campaign.
The St Mirren assistant manager will remain in his post at Saints but will now also take on the role of senior coach working alongside Michael O’Neill and his newly appointed backroom team.
The 35-year-old was first-team coach alongside Stephen Robinson at Morecambe and joined St Mirren as assistant manager following Stephen’s appointment as manager in February 2022.
Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill said: "I have watched Diarmuid in action on the training ground and he is a vibrant young coach. I believe he will be a great asset to us."
