Peter Urminsky agrees contract extension until 2026

St Mirren Football Club is happy to confirm that Peter Urminsky has signed a contract extension which keeps him at the club until summer 2026.

The six-foot-five Slovakian goalkeeper joined Saints in January 2020 and went on to have loan spells with Ayr United and Stenhousemuir before making his first-team debut in July 2022 against Cowdenbeath in the Viaplay Cup.

Peter made further starts against Airdrieonians and FC Edinburgh before starting his first cinch Premiership match against Rangers on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

Manager Stephen Robinson said: "We're really pleased that Peter has extended his contract.

"He is a good young goalkeeper who is continually improving while working with goalkeeping coach Jamie Langfield and the other goalkeepers. We're happy to have him commit until 2026."

Peter added: "I love it at St Mirren. I enjoy every single day working with the players, with the staff and it's always positive.

"I feel like I have developed well in my time at the club working with Jamie and others. It'll be four years in January since I joined the club and it's great to extend my deal."
