St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce that Elvis Bwomono has extended his contract until summer 2025.
The Ugandan international has made 13 appearances since joining Saints on a short-term deal in December 2023. The initial deal was due to run until the summer with the club holding the option to extend by a further year. The club has now taken up the option to further Elvis' stay in Paisley.
Elvis began his professional career at Southend United where he made 132 appearances between 2017 and 2021. After leaving the English side, he moved to Icelandic outfit ÍBV in May 2022 and went on to play 48 times.
Speaking to stmirren.com, Elvis said: "I'm delighted to be staying for another year.
"Since I came to the club in December everyone has made me feel really welcome and a real part of it so I'm happy to staying here.
It's probably the most enjoyable time I've had in football both on and off the park. It's a great squad and I'm excited for next season."
Manager Stephen Robinson added: "I believe Elvis will get better and better.
He's still young, a Ugandan international as well, and we're looking forward to developing him next season. I'm delighted he's signed the extension."
"Elvis has been part of some very good results when he first came in. He's had a little bit of an illness and a niggle as well, while Ryan Strain has come back into the team but it's great to have that competition. It's also another bit of solidity for next season."
