St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Dennis Adeniran on a one-year deal subject to clearance.
The 25-year-old has agreed an initial one-year contract with an appearance based option of a second year.
Capped by England to U19 level, Dennis began his career at Fulham and made his professional debut for the Cottagers in a league cup tie against Leyton Orient in 2016.
The midfielder eventually moved on to Everton where he made 56 appearances for their U21 side and had a loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers during season 2020/21. Following the expiry of his contract at Everton, Dennis joined Sheffield Wednesday where he would score seven goals in 51 appearances over two seasons.
A move to the Portuguese Primeira Liga followed with a short spell at Portimonense before signing for Israeli side Hapoel Petah Tikva in January.
The midfielder played 45 minutes as a trialist in our 2-0 win over Greenock Morton on Tuesday night and now joins up with Stephen Robinson's side on a permanent basis.
Speaking to stmirren.com, Dennis said: "I'm over the moon to get the deal done.
"It's a good opportunity for me to come back to the UK and get started again.
"The attraction of European football and the way the gaffer wants to play, his aspirations for the season, it just fitted perfectly for what I need right now in my career.
It's a good opportunity playing in a top division, playing against big teams and playing in Europe. It's a fantastic set up here and I'm enjoying it so far.
"I spoke to Jaden [Brown]. He had nothing but good things to say about the club and I went to school with Toyosi [Olusanya] as well so I know them, but all the lads have been brilliant.
"I'm a hard-working player. I like to have the ball at my feet, I'm dynamic and I like to chip in with a goal or two."
