St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce that Callum Penman has signed a new contract until summer 2027.
The St Mirren Youth Academy graduate has been involved in a number of first-team squads this season, featuring on the bench in seven of our last nine William Hill Premiership matches.
The 17-year-old has also been a key player in the U18s' Scottish Youth Cup run, where they have reached the quarter-final stage. Callum has also been capped by Scotland at U17s level.
He now joins fellow U18s player Evan Mooney - who agreed a similar deal in the summer - in being signed up for the next two-and-a-half years.
Speaking to stmirren.com, manager Stephen Robinson said: "Callum has been training with the first-team since the start of the season and has really developed and grown in confidence.
He's been a standout along with Evan Mooney in the youth team and we're starting to see the progress of the things that have been put in place. We're delighted that he has committed to the club longer-term."
"He fits into that wing-back role with lots of pace and energy. He may get his chance in the coming weeks. He's been unfortunate not to get his debut and we'll possibly look at the loan market as well to continue his development."
