Lewis Jamieson has departed St Mirren Football Club to join USL Championship side Sacramento Republic FC on a permanent deal, subject to international clearance.
The St Mirren Youth Academy graduate's contract was due to expire this summer and the club would have been due training compensation. However, we have come to an agreement with Sacramento for an undisclosed fee including a significant sell on.
Coming through the ranks at Saints, Lewis made his St Mirren first-team debut away to Rangers in August 2020. All in, the 22-year-old would make 35 appearances for the Buddies, scoring one goal - a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Hibernian in the William Hill Premiership in November 2023.
The forward joined William Hill Championship side Raith Rovers on loan in August and now links up with former Rovers boss Neil Collins who took charge at Sacramento in December.
St Mirren Football Club thanks Lewis for his contributions during his time at the club and wish him all the best in his future.
