Visitor Information

  • Electronic Ticketing System

At the SMiSA Stadium we have an electronic ticketing system in place at the turnstiles.

The process of using the system is fairly straight-forward and easy to use:

    • On entering the turnstile you will see the ticket reader.
    • Place your match ticket (with the barcode or QR code facing upwards) or smartcard – into the aperture
    • Once the ticket/smartcard is accepted into the system the green light will illuminate and an audio alert will sound after which you should hear the turnstile being unlocked
    • Push the turnstile gate and enter the stadium as you normally would.

The whole process will only take a few seconds.

Please note that there will be stewards in attendance to help where required.

  • Street Parking on Matchday

The Club has been made aware of problems occasioned by inconsiderate parking in the area of Tannahill Road.

Seemingly supporters are parking despite the presence of double yellow lines and as a consequence local bus routes are also being blocked because streets in this area are narrow and fans are parking on both sides. People, many of whom are elderly, are having to walk from Greenhill Road to their homes because buses can’t get access.

Residents who have cars parked in driveways are experiencing similar difficulties getting their vehicles in and out. On being approached by local residents some supporters have been somewhat aggressive which could lead to confrontation.

St Mirren Football Club strives to be a good neighbour and we would ask that ALL supporters attending the stadium not only park in accordance with local parking restrictions but also give consideration to the needs of local residents by parking sensibly so as not to occasion an unnecessary obstruction.

  • Picking Up & Dropping Off by Car on Match Day

We are also aware of problems with patrons parking at the front of the Main Stand to pick up disabled supporters at the end of the game. This area is a 'no parking' zone on match days (with cones on the road) and has to be kept clear for emergency access. It is an inappropriate location for disabled spectator uplifts, as not only does it cause an obstruction on the road, it also causes a danger to pedestrians leaving the stadium.

Please note that the designated pick-up/drop off points are either in Drums Avenue or the two lay-byes on Ferguslie Park Avenue.

From there you can get train to Paisley St James or if you prefer to walk the following routes are advised by the police:

St Mirren B beaten by Albion Rovers

St Mirren B exited the SPFL Trust Trophy after a 6-0 loss away to Albion Rovers.

Kyle Doherty netted a hat-trick for the home side, while Saints scored two own-goals with Kieran Dolan rounding off the scoring in injury time.

Young Saints got off to the worst possible start - conceding a bizarre own goal in the second minute. Aiden Clocherty's attempted pass back from 40 yards flew over goalkeeper Grant Thackery's head on the edge of his box, and rolled into an empty net.

The Buddies almost levelled right away when an in-swinging cross found McMaster at the back post. Despite his best attempt at a diving header, the midfielder couldn’t stretch his neck muscles enough to make contact and the ball sailed past.

After that Saints struggled to get a foot hold as League Two side Albion kept up the pressure without really creating many chances. That’s changed in the 23rd min when ex-St Mirren academy player Doherty turned 20 yards from goal with his low shot finding the bottom right hand corner to make it 2-0 to The Rovers.

A Josh Jack free kick brought a save from Albion goalkeeper Cammy Binnie. The Saints skipper looked to catch the keeper off guard from the angle of the 18 yard box but was denied.

As the game approached half-time, the young Buddies conceded a penalty when Ewan Thomson was penalised for a tackle on Scott Roberts. Doherty stroked his spot-kick down the middle of the goal to net his second of the afternoon.

The first chance of the half fell to Rovers when Doherty, chasing his hat-trick, blazed a free-kick over from 20 yards. Rovers then hit the post through Callum Wilson after he got on the end of a long diagonal.

Albion got their fourth just before the hour-mark. Max Wright somehow managed to miss from just four yards out but it broke perfectly for Doherty to slam home for his hat-trick. Four soon became five. Wilson's effort was saved with Doherty's follow-up diverted into roof of his own net by Saints defender Dylan McDonald.

Saints best chance of the game came in the 75th minute. A throw in on the left was chipped to the back post where Mark Donaldson met it but his attempt was off target. The young Buddies probably should have had a penalty in the 80th minute when a clumsy tackle from an Albion defender came through the back of Kieron Offord but the referee waved play on.

Albion added a sixth in the final minute when a long hopeful ball led to a mix up between Thackery and Aiden Clocherty. Dolan took full advantage as he nipped in and rolled the ball home to make it 6-0.

Full-Time: Albion Rovers 6-0 St Mirren B

St Mirren: Thackery, Clocherty, Ellis, McManus, McDonald, McMaster, Struthers (Czapla 73), Taylor (Gilmartin 57), Offord, Jack, Thomson (Donaldson 46)
Subs Not Used: Smith, Gaffney

Cammy MacPherson joins St Johnstone on loan

St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Cammy MacPherson has joined St Johnstone on loan until the end of the season.

The Buddies will have the option to recall the midfielder in January and he will be unable to play against St Mirren.

The St Mirren Youth Academy made his professional debut in January 2017 in a Scottish Cup win away to Dundee.

After a loan spell at Stranraer in 2018, Cammy broke into the first-team and has made 94 appearances scoring five times.

Everyone at St Mirren wishes Cammy all the best in his time at the Perth Saints.

That concludes our business for the summer window. We had hoped to add to our squad further but unfortunately we have been unable to get any deal over the line.

Jim Goodwin aiming to bring one more in ahead of transfer deadline

Jim Goodwin hopes to add one more player to his squad ahead of tonight's transfer window deadline after completing a loan deal for Wolves midfielder Connor Ronan.

The Saints gaffer spoke to stmirren.com after agreeing the season-long move for the 23-year-old midfielder.

Connor became Saints’ eighth signing of the season after Eamonn Brophy, Daniel Finlayson, Charles Dunne, Curtis Main, Greg Kiltie, Scott Tanser and Alan Power had all joined the Buddies earlier in the summer.

Jim was delighted to get Connor in after tracking his progress for a number of years and believes he is a player that can excite the St Mirren support.

Connor is a central midfielder who can play a number of positions in the middle of the pitch," the manager said.

"He’s played in a deep lying role but he’s also played as a number 10 in the past as well. He’s one that is very comfortable on the ball, technically very good and highly regarded at Wolves where he has just signed a three-year deal.

"I watched Connor playing for the Irish U21s a couple of seasons ago and he was outstanding in Toulon for the Republic. We tried to get him in last season but couldn’t because of the connection between Wolves and Grasshopper. Thankfully this time around we have been able to get it over the line and I think he is one that will excite the fans.

"People might look at the squad and feel we have a number of midfielders already, but Connor is something a little bit different. He’s a real class act and hopefully St Mirren fans will see the best of him."

With Connor now in the building, the manager’s attention has turned to bringing in one more signing before the window slams shut at midnight.

Jim said: "We’re working hard on one in particular. We thought we had one done this morning, but unfortunately an English Championship side pulled the plug on that which was extremely disappointing.

"We are working our way through a list and trying to get one in. I’ve spoken long and hard about the need for a bit of pace in the team and a bit of mobility so that’s what we are looking for at the moment. There are still a few hours left in the window and hopefully we’ll be able to get one of those to drop soon."

Connor Ronan joins Saints on loan

St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Connor Ronan on a season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers subject to international clearance.

Connor, who has been capped by Republic of Ireland at U21 level, joined Wolves from Rochdale at the age of 16 and made his professional debut under ex-St Mirren midfielder Paul Lambert in December 2016.

The 23-year-old midfielder has also had loan spells at Portsmouth, Walsall, Dunajská Streda and Blackpool over the last number of years and spent last season in Switzerland with Grasshopper. Connor made 32 appearances for the Swiss side as they won the Swiss Challenge League and promotion to the Super League.

Connor now joins Saints from the English Premier League side until the end of the season.

Speaking after completing the move, Connor told St Mirren TV: "I can't wait to get going.

"The manager wanted me to come in and play as I like to play as a creative midfielder. It was a really positive chat and from that point on it was just a case of getting everything sorted.

"I'm hard-working first and foremost and I think that's got to be a given for any player. I like to get on the ball and try to dictate things and create and score as many goals as possible."

The story of how St Mirren became a fan-owned club

Featuring interviews from George Adam, Alan Wardrop, Gordon Scott, John Needham and Tony Fitzpatrick, this is the story of how St Mirren became a fan-owned club.

Saints can't be separated

The Saints derby ended in a goalless as St Mirren and St Johnstone drew a blank in Paisley.

Both sides went close in a goalless first half, Conor McCarthy having an effort ruled out for offside and Jak Alnwick denying both Callum Hendry and David Wotherspoon. Just on half-time it looked as if the Paisley Saints had gone in front only for Zander Clark to somehow claw away Richard Tait's shot before it crossed the line.

Sadly, the second half didn't come close to matching the first for goalmouth action with chances at a premium. The Perth Saints almost snatched all three points in the final minute but Glenn Middleton's free-kick cannoned off the bar. That was an escape for the Buddies but there was a blow in stoppage time when Ethan Erhahon was sent off, shown a second yellow card for a foul on Chris Kane.

Saints boss Jim Goodwin – now recovered from his bout of coronavirus – made three changes to the side that had lost against Celtic a week earlier. Eamonn Brophy came back into the side as did fit-again Charles Dunne and Richard Tait. Greg Kiltie and Ryan Flynn dropped to the bench with Alan Power absent through suspension. There were plenty of changes to the St Johnstone line-up following their European exit, with Stevie May and Wotherspoon among those coming into the side.

Alnwick was barely troubled by early efforts from Wotherspoon and Jamie McCart, the Buddies briefly thinking they had taken the lead in between those efforts. Scott Tanser delivered a free-kick with pinpoint precision and Conor McCarthy headed past Clark, however his celebrations were cut short by the offside flag.

Jamie McGrath could have been forgiven for having a pop at the Saintees goal after heading the ball past a defender and bursting forward but he unselfishly opted to tee up Curtis Main instead. Clark couldn't save the striker's shot but McGrath looked ready to force home the rebound only for Hayden Muller to block his effort. At the other end May flicked an attempt miles over Alnwick's goal, the keeper called into meaningful action for the first time a few minutes later when he turned behind Hendry's header.

The home Saints were creating plenty of chances, skipper Joe Shaughnessy heading just wide from Tait's cross before both Tanser and Brophy shot over from the edge of the area. Alnwick was arguably the busier of the keepers and had to get down low to tip Wotherspoon's low drive behind after it took a deflection off Shaughnessy. In first-half stoppage time the hosts went desperately close to taking the lead when a free-kick was flicked on to Tait at the back post and he looked to have poked it over the line only to be denied by a terrific save by Clark.

You could be forgiven for thinking an exciting second half was in store when Main flicked Tanser's cross just wide, however it didn't live up to the promise. McCarthy almost got on the end of another tasty delivery from fullback and Shaughnessy headed a free-kick wide, while at the other end Alnwick did well to gather a shot from sub Glenn Middleton and Shaun Rooney's long-range drive whistled past the post.

The visitors almost snatched victory in the final minute with a moment that would have been giving the home fans flashback. After Shaughnessy was booked for upending Muller, St Johnstone had a free-kick in a dangerous position and Middleton stepped up in a bid to repeat his heroics from last season's Scottish Cup semi-final. He almost managed it too – although this time his effort crashed off the bar rather than nestling in the net. That was as close as either side came, Erhahon blotting his copybook somewhat in stoppage time when he picked up a second yellow card for a foul on Chris Kane.
