Everyone at St Mirren wishes Street Stuff all the best at tonight’s COSLA Excellence Awards.
The COSLA Excellence Awards celebrate the best in Scottish local government, with an emphasis on rewarding innovative and passionate developments, and recognising projects that can demonstrate excellent service delivery to communities.
Street Stuff - nominated in the Local Matters category at tonight’s awards - provides a range of activities primarily in the evenings and at weekends across Renfrewshire. It began delivering activities in Renfrewshire in 2009, delivering a sustained reduction in reported youth disorder and anti-social behaviour.
Stephen Gallacher, Street Stuff programme leader said: “It’s a great honour to be nominated for these awards and a great testament to the hard work everyone puts in. It’s a great example of the club’s work within the community and the efforts from Renfrewshire Council.”
It’s the first in a double of recent nominations with the programme also nominated for a ROCCO Award for Community Champion of the Year.
