St Mirren make the short journey to Ibrox on Saturday to face Rangers in cinch Premiership action.
It's second versus third after Saints made it five wins from six last weekend with a dramatic 2-1 win over Livingston at the SMiSA Stadium.
The game burst into life in the final 20 minutes with Keanu Baccus had putting us ahead on 69 minutes. Livingston were awarded a penalty and Jonah Ayunga was shown a red card seven minutes later, but ex-Saint Sean Kelly fired over from 12 yards. The visitors would equalise on 86 minutes through Bruce Anderson, though there was time for even more drama with Alex Greive scoring the winner in the final minute of normal time to give Saints the three points.
Stephen Robinson's men have also defeated Celtic (2-0), Hibernian (1-0), Dundee United (3-0) and Ross County (1-0) over the last several weeks on their way to sitting in third place in the cinch Premiership.
Rangers sit four points above Saints in second place having won six, drawn one and lost one of their eight league matches this season.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side were in Champions League action on Tuesday night losing 2-0 to Liverpool at Anfield. That result came off the back of a 4-0 win against Hearts at Tynecastle in the cinch Premiership last Saturday, while they also defeated Dundee United 2-1 at Ibrox before the international break.

Previous
The two sides met three times last season with Rangers winning in each encounter.
Connor Ronan scored a stunning strike in the first meeting to put Saints 1-0 up last October, but two goals in a minute saw Rangers come away with a narrow 2-1 win.
Our only trip to Ibrox last season was on Boxing Day and played in front of just 500 fans with Rangers winning 2-0. Rangers won the only meeting in 2022 when they defeated Saints 4-0 at the SMiSA Stadium in April.
Saints' last win over Rangers was in the Premier Sports Cup in December 2020. Despite falling behind to an early Connor Goldson strike, the Buddies got their noses in front thanks to a double from Jamie McGrath. Steven Davis equalised late in the game for the Gers which looked to be sending the match to extra-time. But there was time for further drama with Conor McCarthy scoring deep into injury time to give us our first win over Rangers since 2011.
