Up Next: St Mirren v Dundee United (22nd Oct)

St Mirren host Dundee United at the SMiSA Stadium on Saturday in cinch Premiership action.

There's just five games to go until the split for World Cup 2022 and Stephen Robinson's side sit in fifth place in the cinch Premiership following last weekend's goalless draw with Kilmarnock.

That draw made it five unbeaten at home for the Buddies who have taken 16 points from their opening 10 cinch Premiership matches - 13 of which have come at the SMiSA Stadium.

Two wins and a draw in their last three matches have taken Dundee United off the foot of the table albeit only by virtue of goals scored as they sit level on points and goal difference with bottom side Ross County.

Liam Fox - who took permanent charge of the Arabs in September - has guided his side to wins over Aberdeen (4-0) and Hibernian (1-1) while drawing 1-1 with Ross County in Dingwall.

United go into Saturday's match having lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock in the quarter-final of the Premier Sports Cup on Tuesday night.

Previous

The two sides have already met this season with St Mirren defeating Dundee United 3-0 at Tannadice in August. Curtis Main scored either side of half-time before Alex Greive put the seal on the win in injury time.

Saints have lost just one of their last seven against the Arabs. That defeat came at the SMiSA Stadium back in March when Marc McNulty scored deep into stoppage time to give United a 2-1 win. Before that, the Buddies were unbeaten in four at home against United.
