St Mirren first foot Kilmarnock on Monday as 2023 gets underway for Saints at Rugby Park.
The Buddies ended 2022 with a point following a 1-1 draw with Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena. That saw Saints close out the year unbeaten in their last four and sitting in fifth place in the cinch Premiership on 25 points.
Kilmarnock sit in ninth place on 19 points after their 2-1 win over Aberdeen at Rugby Park on Wednesday night. That win saw Derek McInnes' side move four points away from bottom side Ross County heading into the New Year.

Previous
Neither side could be separated in the only league meeting of the two this season when Kilmarnock visited the SMiSA Stadium in October. There was little between the two sides though Saints goalkeeper Trevor Carson made a couple of good saves to earn his clean sheet in the 0-0 draw.
This is our first trip to Rugby Park since May 2021 when the spoils were shared in a six goal thriller. A Kyle Lafferty double put Kilmarnock 2-0 ahead, but Jamie McGrath and Cammy MacPherson pulled Saints level. Greg Kiltie scored to put Kilmarnock back in front, but Collin Quaner scored soon after to make it 3-3 and give Saints a point.
St Mirren are unbeaten in their last five against Kilmarnock - a run that goes back to September 2020 when Kilmarnock won 1-0 at the SMiSA Stadium.
Our last league win at Rugby Park was in May 2013 when goals from John McGinn, Paul McGowan and Conor Newton saw us end the 2012/13 campaign with a victory.
