Up Next: Celtic v St Mirren (18th Jan)

St Mirren make the short journey to Glasgow on Wednesday night to face Celtic at Celtic Park.

Saints face the league leaders on the back of a good showing against Hearts on Friday night, though ultimately Stephen Robinson's side came away from Tynecastle with nothing to show for their efforts after a 1-0 defeat. That was just our first loss in seven and Saints remain in sixth position in the cinch Premiership going into Wednesday.

Celtic currently sit atop the cinch Premiership with 19 wins, one draw and one defeat from their first 21 league matches. They come into Wednesday night's match after securing their place in the Viaplay Cup Final with a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock at Hampden Park on Saturday.

Previous

Saints are the only side to have beaten Celtic domestically this season. The Buddies defeated Ange Postecoglou's side 2-0 at the SMiSA Stadium in September thanks to goals from Mark O'Hara and Jonah Ayunga - inflicting a first league defeat in 38 matches for the Hoops.

Our last win at Celtic Park came in January 2021 when goals from Kristian Dennis and Ilkay Durmus saw us defeat Celtic at Parkhead for the first time since 1990.

Celtic were victors on both occasions when Saints visited Celtic Park last season - winning 6-0 and 2-0.
