The Opposition
Aberdeen got their William Hill Premiership season off to a winning start after a 2-1 victory away to St Johnstone on Monday night. Goals from Nicky Devlin and ex-Saint Jamie McGrath saw the Dons get off to a winning start under new manager Jimmy Thelin.
The Dons have won all five of their matches under the Swedish manager so far this season, having defeated Queen of the South (3-0), East Kilbride (4-0), Airdrieonians (2-1) and Dumbarton (6-0) to top their group in the Premier Sports Cup.
Saints faced Aberdeen three times last season in the William Hill Premiership, winning two and drawing one. Stephen Robinson's side were victorious on their only trip to Pittodrie last season with Mark O'Hara, Jonah Ayunga and Greg Kiltie scoring in a 3-0 win for the Buddies in December 2023.

From the Manager | "Focus on Aberdeen"
Speaking to the press ahead of Sunday's match, the manager said: "Our focus turned straight away to Aberdeen.
"We know their threats, we know they have players that can hurt you and a new manager so there's a feelgood factor there at the moment. If we perform like we did in the second-half against Hibs, the full game against Valur, and use the resilience and defend like we did against Brann then we go up there quietly confident.
It's up to me to utilise the squad.
"I believe in every player that I've got here so we will make quite a few changes to freshen the side up.
"Mark O'Hara is making great strides but it may be that we just run out of time for Sunday."
The Officials
Grant Irvine is the referee on Sunday and he'll be assisted by David Roome and Alastair Taylor. Alastair Grieve is fourth official.
Andrew Dallas is the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
