The Opposition
Rangers go into Sunday's match after facing FCSB at Ibrox in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
Philippe Clement's men sit in third place in the William Hill Premiership after picking up 16 points from their opening eight matches. The Ibrox side missed an opportunity to close the gap on Aberdeen and Celtic after their draw on Saturday, but failed to do so after falling to a 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Sunday.
After starting the season playing their home matches at Hampden, Rangers have won their two William Hill Premiership home matches since returning Ibrox last month. A 1-0 win over Hibernian at the end of last month was followed up by a 2-0 victory over St Johnstone.
St Mirren's last win against Rangers came during the 2020/21 season when a late goal from Conor McCarthy saw Saints win 3-2 at The SMiSA Stadium in the league cup and end Rangers' unbeaten domestic run. Our last win at Ibrox came back in 1991 with Kevin McGowne's first-half goal giving us a 1-0 victory.
