It's Saints' penultimate match of 2024 as we play host to Rangers in the William Hill Premiership on Boxing Day.
Stephen Robinson's men go into Thursday's fixture on the back of two away wins on the bounce following victories away to Ross County and St Johnstone. A late winner from Oisin Smyth in Dingwall saw the Saints solidify their place in sixth place in the William Hill Premiership, moving five points ahead of Dundee.

The Opposition
Rangers moved into second place in the William Hill Premiership after defeating Dundee 1-0 at Ibrox on Saturday. Vaclav Cerny's early second-half goal was enough to give the Light Blues their fourth league victory on the bounce to move above Aberdeen.
Like Saints, Philippe Clement's men have won their last two away matches in the William Hill Premiership with both ironically also coming against Ross County (3-0) and St Johnstone (1-0).
Saints were edged out in the only meeting between the two sides this season. Alex Gogic scored at Ibrox to draw the Buddies level after Mohamed Diomande had given Rangers the lead. But Vaclav Cerny scored a winner with just over 20 minutes remaining as Rangers won 2-1. The Gers also won 2-1 on their last visit to The SMiSA Stadium back in April with Cyriel Dessers scoring in the closing stages after Mikael Mandron had put Saints level in the first-half.

Our last league victory against the Ibrox side came on Christmas Eve 2011 when goals from Aaron Mooy and Paul McGowan saw the Buddies triumph 2-1 at The SMiSA Stadium.
