The Opposition
Aberdeen secured their passage into the Fifth Round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup at the weekend with a 3-0 win away to League Two side Elgin City on Saturday.
The Dons' blistering start to the season, where they picked up 31 points from a possible 33 in the William Hill Premiership at the beginning of the campaign, came to a halt when they lost 2-1 to Saints at The SMiSA Stadium in November.
Goals from Toyosi Olusanya and Richard Taylor saw Stephen Robinson's men become the first to inflict defeat upon the Dons this season. Since then, Jimmy Thelin's side have been winless in their following 11 league matches, but remain in a good position in the league - sitting in fourth place, two points behind third place Dundee United.
Both sides have a win apiece in the two meetings this season with Aberdeen winning 3-1 when the sides met at Pittodrie in August.
Saints' last victory away at Pittodrie was in December 2023 when goals from Mark O'Hara, Jonah Ayunga and Greg Kiltie saw us win 3-0 in the Granite city.
