Jack Ross says he is happy with the business done for next season so far.
The Buddies manager completed the signings of Ross Stewart and Jordan Kirkpatrick yesterday with Young Player of the Year, Kyle Magennis, also signing a new three-year deal with the club.
Meanwhile, earlier on in the week, Gary MacKenzie and Cammy Smith joined the likes of Stephen McGinn, Adam Eckersley, Jack Baird and Josh Todd in committing their immediate future to the Saints.
It's been a busy time for the gaffer as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion to the Ladbrokes Premiership.
And he confessed that while there is still work to do, he is satisfied with what has been done to this point.
I'm pleased we have managed to do as much as we have done already," he told stmirren.com.
"There are other areas we still need to get players in but at this stage are we in a good position? Yeah. Will it become stronger? Yeah, we still have scope to do that. I'm happy with what we have done at the moment.
"James [Fowler] and I spent a lot of time looking at players prior to the season ending and how we try and build the squad.
"We wanted to bring in three or four that fit the category that can help us, are good players, but also have good potential and Ross fits into that category. He's in his early 20s, he's gained experience of first team football for the last couple of years at Albion Rovers.
"For me, having watched him a lot personally and having other people watch him, he's a goalkeeper with huge potential.
"I'm delighted he has committed to coming to the club and I do think he is someone who can grow as a goalkeeper here."
The manager worked with Jordan Kirkpatrick at both Dumbarton and Alloa and believes he has the ability to make an impact with the Saints.
I signed Jordan at the start of last season [with Alloa]," he said. "He's someone I had worked with before at Dumbarton and actually played with.
"Jordan was at Hamilton when he was young and played in the first team there. He was identified as the one who would follow the two James' [McCarthy and McArthur], but he kind of lost his way a wee bit.
"He came to Dumbarton while I was there as assistant and played really well. He came to Alloa and was terrific in my period there. I think over the season he scored 17 goals from midfield which is a brilliant return.
"He is a really good player," he continued. "He most definitely has the ability to play at a higher level, it's just getting it out of him consistently. He's a good age now where he has a real hunger to get back to that level he was at with Hamilton in the Premiership.
"I'm delighted and he gives us that attacking threat from midfield.
"I don't think he is a direct replacement for Stevie Mallan. But there are aspects of his game that we hope he can replicate what Stevie did for us. He's different but similar if that makes sense."
The club were also boosted by the news that Kyle Magennis signed a new three-year deal with the club that takes him up to summer 2020.
It's a move that Jack believes shows the club is moving in the right direction.
It's a reflection of how happy he is at the club and how much he feels we can help him achieve his ambition in the game." he said.
"For us it's a real positive sign of the feeling around the club that a young player is willing to commit for a longer period and it gives us that protection as he'll undoubtedly progress in his career.
"I know he will take it the right way and his hunger will remain the same. It's a huge boost for everybody at the club."
