The club can confirm that ballots for our UEFA Conference League Second Qualifying Round away match against either Valur of Iceland or KF Vllaznia of Albania will go live tomorrow (Thursday 4th July). 

The ballots will open at 10am on Thursday 4th July and will close at 10am on Wednesday 10th July. Ballot forms will be available on stmirren.com from 10am on Thursday 4th July.

With UEFA and opposing clubs still to confirm ticket allocations, the club will be conducting two separate ballots for the potential opponents and supporters can apply for either one or both ballots. The reason we have opened two separate ballots is that a number of supporters have intimated that they may only attend one of the two destinations. If supporters wish to attend against either opposition then they must enter both ballots.

Those successful will be notified by the club on Monday 15th July with full ticket payment and collection details. Successful entrants must confirm their attendance by 12pm on Friday 19th July. 

Those unsuccessful in the ballot will be added to a reserve list should anyone successful in the ballot be unable to take up their ticket. We will inform any on the reserve list as soon as we can if this is the case. 

Following feedback from our statement last week, we can confirm that adults with U12s can apply on their behalf, providing both have season tickets. Those doing so must include the full name and age of the U12 they are applying for. 

Terms and conditions are as follows: 

• Only season ticket holders are eligible to apply. Any non-season ticket holder that applies will be excluded from the ballot.
• You must only apply if you plan to travel to the destination you are applying for.
• Only one ticket per ballot entry.  
• Anyone with a family season ticket should apply as a separate adult ballot entry. I.e. a family ticket with two adults should apply twice with both adults' name.
• Over 12s only can enter the ballot. 12-17s can enter the ballot but MUST list an adult season ticket holder that would act as a guardian.
• Adults with an under-12 can apply on their behalf, providing both have season tickets. There will be an allocation for parent and child in the ballot.
• Those requiring a carer will be automatically allocated a carer pass if successful in the ballot.
• Tickets are non-transferable. ID will be required to collect them. 

You must ensure that all details are entered correctly. Any entries with incorrect information will be null and void and won’t be entered into the ballot.

St Mirren Football Club can confirm that Conor McMenamin will undergo surgery for a patella tendon injury.

A pre-existing injury, the 28-year-old played through the pain barrier last season but was eventually ruled out for a period with the injury. Conor returned to action in March to play his part in our European qualification. 

The Northern Ireland forward didn’t travel to our pre-season training camp in Spain after returning from international duty having suffered a reoccurrence of the injury.

We wish Conor a full and speedy recovery.

We caught up with Caolan Boyd-Munce at our training camp in Spain as he reflects on the return to pre-season, new signing Oisin Smyth and getting his first Northern Ireland cap a few weeks ago.

Stephen Robinson's side are currently in Spain for a week long camp at the Pinatar Arena. The Buddies will complete a week of warm weather training to gear up for our 2024/25 campaign. 

Upon our return from Spain, Saints will take on Championship side Dunfermline Athletic at KDM Group East End Park on Saturday 6th July. There will be a Renfrewshire derby on Tuesday 9th July when we face Greenock Morton at Cappielow Park in the Communities Cup. 

The Buddies will play host to English League Two outfit Fleetwood Town at The SMiSA Stadium on Saturday 13th July, before closing out our pre-season schedule at home to Carlisle United on Friday 19th July.

St Mirren Men's first-team players are being put through their paces at a training camp in Spain.

The Buddies are based at the Pinatar Arena outside Murcia with preparations underway for season 2024/25. 

With temperatures in the region hitting the high 20s all week, St Mirren Lead Sport Scientist Gary McColl talked through how the coaching staff structure their sessions to manage the players in tough conditions. 

"At this time of year it is obviously a lot warmer so when we want to get double pitch sessions in for the players we have to consider when we train during the day so we miss the peak heat," Gary told stmirren.com. 

"That's meant we are training a bit earlier in the mornings and getting the players back to the hotel to get them fed and let them rest in the afternoon before going out early evening again when it's a little bit cooler. 

"There may be times later in the week where we may have to adapt as we go whether that's because it's too hot at a certain time of day to train or through the accumulation of work the players have built up through the week. 

A lot of the boys aren't used to training in this sort of heat and trying to push them every single day probably isn't the best way forward."

Saints will face Dunfermline a week on Saturday in our first pre-season friendly with competitive football getting underway in a little under a month's time with a trip to either Iceland or Albania in the UEFA Conference League. 

The players returned to pre-season training on Monday after a month's break before flying out to Spain on Wednesday to get themselves prepared for the season ahead. 

"The first few days of pre-season involves physical profiling of players such as fitness levels, body composition, strength tests in the gym, we are trying to collate all that information so we can put plans in place for the group as a whole but also individually as well.

Our aim is always to improve the strength and fitness of the players and make sure they are robust as possible.

"We're really pleased with how the players have come back.

We have a really hard-working group that has looked after itself over the summer and they've come back in great condition.

"We've got a lot of work in during the first couple of days here and so far so good. The players that were here in January are familiar with the surroundings. We're at a good hotel and there are good facilities both on and off the pitch so everyone is pretty happy."

"Going back towards the end of last season we started putting our plans in place for pre-season. The manager, myself and the coaching staff put in place a plan for what we want to achieve.

"This season has been a little bit different from the last couple of years whereby the players had a little bit longer off-season and the pre-season we've got we have a little bit more time to play with so we don't have to rush things in getting the boys fit.

"While we're over here in Spain it's all about getting our work in on the pitch and in the gym."

St Mirren will start the 2024/25 William Hill Premiership season at home to Hibernian after fixtures were announced by the SPFL this morning.

Stephen Robinson's side host the Hibees at The SMiSA Stadium on Sunday 4th August 2024 in a reversal of last season's opening day match. 

The Buddies travel to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on matchday two for our first away day of the league season on Saturday 10th August before returning to The SMiSA Stadium two weeks later to host Celtic on Sunday 25th August in a 12pm kick-off being shown live on Sky Sports.  

Saints close out the first month away to Dundee on Saturday Saturday 31st August.

St Mirren Football Club is delighted to confirm that Jaden Brown has returned to the club on permanent contract after agreeing a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old full-back initially signed for Saints in January on a loan deal from Lincoln City until the end of the season and made eight appearances for the Buddies.

While game time was limited for Jaden, he impressed coaching staff during his time at the club and manager Stephen Robinson has moved to add him to the squad on a permanent basis. 

Capped by England to under-19 level, Jaden began his career at English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur but left for Huddersfield Town without making a senior appearance at the Lilywhites.

Jaden made 31 appearances at Huddersfield before joining Sheffield Wednesday in 2021. He was part of the Wednesday team that secured promotion to the English Championship last season and moved on following the expiry of his contract last summer. Jaden joined Lincoln City in July 2023 and made 15 appearances for the Imps. 

Speaking to stmirren.com after returning, Jaden said: "I'm buzzing to be back. 

"I loved my time on loan here at the club last season. I didn't get as many games as I wanted to but it's important to be in and around good people and it was a successful group, qualifying for Europe. 

You want to play in the big games and play in the biggest competitions so it's a great opportunity to showcase what I'm about. Hopefully I can come in and hit the ground running."

Manager Stephen Robinson said: "I don't think people have seen the best of Jaden. He arrived here without a lot of game time and towards the end of his loan we were really impressed with him. 

"We had no direct competition for Scott Tanser at left-wing back so it was important we have that level of competition.

"Jaden can also play in numerous different positions further forward and on the right-hand side so he certainly strengthens our squad. It makes the fight for starting places harder for everybody which is how you progress."
