St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Jeff King on a two-year deal subject to international clearance.
The 22 year-old winger joins The Buddies after leaving Bolton Wanderers in the summer.
Speaking to stmirren.com, King said: "I'd heard about signing for the club a couple of weeks ago but I was on holiday so it's been frustrating.
"But I'm buzzing to get it over the line. I'm definitely looking forward to it."
"I had other options on the table, but St Mirren being a big club enticed me and Alan Stubbs being in charge."
St Mirren manager Alan Stubbs added: "It's been going on for a couple of weeks. He was one of the first ones we had enquired about. It's another one on board and I'm really happy with it.
"I'm looking forward to working with him. We're going to be busy and the players are under no illusions that there is going to be competition for places."
St Mirren can announce that we will face English Championship side Bolton Wanderers in a pre-season friendly at the Simple Digital Arena on Saturday 7th July.
The match against Alan Stubbs' former side will kick-off at 3pm and tickets are priced at £12 for adults and £6 for concessions.
St Mirren is delighted to announce that Cody Cooke has joined the club from Truro City.
The 25 year-old striker has signed a two-year deal with Alan Stubbs' side and follows fellow V9 Academy player Josh Heaton in joining the Buddies.
Speaking to stmirren.com, Cooke said: "I'm over the moon. It's a huge opportunity and football is all about opportunities - I want to grab this one with both hands.
"I'm delighted to be here. To get a call from Alan was something that I was just delighted about. I feel ready for the test and it should be an exciting one."
Alan Stubbs said: "Cody I know from the V9 and he did well there. He has a real good work ethic about him, had a good season last season.
"I'm excited. It's a great opportunity for him and we'll help him to succeed here as much as we possibly can."
St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Josh Heaton for an undisclosed fee – the largest fee Saints have paid for a player in around 25 years.
The 21 year-old defender penned a three-year deal with the Buddies to become Alan Stubbs’ first Saints signing.
The Buddies beat off competition from English Premier League and Championship clubs to secure the signing of the highly-thought of defender.
Speaking on joining the Buddies, Josh said: "I can't wait to get going.
"The thought of playing against the big teams and striving to be the best and play first team football was something that brought me here.
"Every time I step on that park I want to win. I want to keep a clean sheet and I want our strikers to score as many goals as possible. I want to win games and I want to win trophies."
Saints manager Alan Stubbs said: "I'm absolutely delighted.
"It's a sign of intent and I'd like to thank the board for putting their trust in me.
"You only have to look at the clubs who were wanting to get Josh and to have got him it's quite a coup."
Chief Executive Tony Fitzpatrick added: "It’s a significant outlay and represents our commitment to Alan and our supporters as we try to build a side that will be competitive in the Premiership.
"There was definite interest in Josh from clubs down south and we are delighted that he has chosen to join St Mirren."
