#OurHome - Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand to be retained for ALL home league matches in the 2022/23 season

Following the recent fans’ survey, St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce that it has been decided to retain the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand for St Mirren supporters at all home league matches in the upcoming season.

There was a significant response to our survey and we would like to thank everyone that gave up their time to take part in the survey. A majority of those who responded told us they wished to see home supporters retain the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand for all home league matches for the coming season.

Beyond the 2022/23 season, season tickets in the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand will include all home league matches. However, we hope season ticket holders will 'top up' their season tickets for the upcoming campaign so they can attend all matches in their chosen seats. Season ticket holders in the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand will be required to make a one-off payment of £30 for adults or £15 for concessions if they wish to add these matches and guarantee their own seat for fixtures against Celtic and Rangers in the 2022/23 season.

Further information on how to upgrade will be made available to all those who have purchased tickets in the Tony Fitzpatrick stand in the coming days.

There was strong support for the 'Help a Buddie' and voluntary £30 contribution schemes which has given the club the confidence to take this step. These initiatives are fundamental in helping sustain the current levels of income which, in turn, will allow us to retain three stands for our home support from now on. We will provide information on how to contribute to these in the days that follow.

St Mirren Chairman John Needham said: "We’ve listened carefully to our fans and today’s announcement is a huge vote of confidence in our supporters. They have made it very clear that they want increased numbers of St Mirren fans in attendance for all home matches.

"The decision to retain all three stands for St Mirren supporters for all home league matches is ultimately driven by our fans and that’s what’s allowed the Board to make this decision.

"Our supporters have been incredible in recent times, and as a fan-owned club their views are hugely important to us.

"We want to take this opportunity to thank our supporters for their loyalty and we look forward to working with the local community to encourage and welcome new fans as we set out to engage the next generation of St Mirren supporters."

The move is one of a range of new initiatives designed to further integrate fans at the very heart of the club and to increase the already high-levels of engagement within the local community. Based on excellent feedback from the survey, the board will also be working on other initiatives to increase income.

Primary schools and community groups will be a major focus for the club as part of ambitious new plans to significantly grow attendances involving the next generation of St Mirren fans.

Season Ticket Update

#OurFans

To simplify and streamline our season ticket offering for the 2022-2023 season, we have undertaken a collaborative review across the organisation. You will note that the categories available are now Adult, Concession (including Over 65s, 13–17-Year-Olds, Students, and our new concession supporting those who are Unemployed), Family, U12, Ambulant and Wheelchair. We ask that you select the corresponding category when you renew your seat(s).

There is further supportive information outlined below for ambulant and family tickets. Please note that if you are selecting a concession category for the first time, we will ask that you provide proof of this before you collect your new season ticket.

We want to remain competitive on the pitch and give the manager the best resources we possibly can in our quest for a top six position. After freezing pricing for the past three seasons, we have decided to increase prices to help meet the rising costs that are affecting all businesses and individuals. Rest assured this decision was not made lightly and we have endeavoured to reduce the impact as much as possible. However, we continue to offer great value for money in comparison with other Premiership clubs. For the full statement from John Needham the Chairman please click HERE.

Early bird prices will run until

#OurFamily

We are delighted to say our family ticket now includes two adults and three children under the age of 17, as opposed to under the age of 13, offering excellent value for money for a family day out. This ticket is approximately £30 per family per game which is a massive saving on walk-up prices, costing up to £95 per visit. More information on purchasing this bundle ticket is outlined below. Please note that family ticket renewals, or to transfer to a family ticket must be done at the ticket office. This is a special ticket bundle and cannot be purchased online.

Please note for all season ticket holders in the Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand, your ticket, as in previous seasons, does not include the Old Firm games. When the decision is finalised regarding retention of this stand, following the fan survey, we will provide information on attendance for these fixtures.

#OurBuddies

We have introduced a concession category for anyone who is unemployed. This will be the same price as all other concession tickets and save you over £150 depending on where you sit. We hope that this will help those affected to afford to continue to come along and support your team. We ask that you select this category during your renewal to take advantage of this offer. Please note that you will be asked to produce proof of your status when you collect your ticket, we will only require this once per season.

We will also be introducing a scheme to allow you to support your fellow Buddies by buying tickets for them to come to games, more information will be available in due course.

#OurSupport

We encourage the purchase of season tickets if you regularly attend matches because the savings made on walk-up prices are significant. However, we know season tickets are a big financial commitment and we continue to offer interest free payment plans available for those who may wish to spread the cost of a season ticket. The ticket office will support you in the provision of this payment option so please visit them to renew your seat during the loyalty period. However, please note as in previous years, the payment plan is based on full price tickets because we are unable to offer early bird on this plan.

#OurBenefits

We are excited to announce our latest list of season ticket holder benefits and discounts.

With your 2022/23 Season card you will have access to all discounts outlined here. We would like to thank all the organisations involved for providing such generous offers to our fans.

Loyalty Deadline Extended! Renew before Sunday 19th June to guarantee your seat!

We are aware that some supporters may be awaiting the results of the survey regarding the retention of the three stands for all home matches next season before renewing their season tickets for the 2022/23 season.

Cognisant of this, we are extending our loyalty period for a further week. This means that season ticket holders will now have until Sunday 19th June to guarantee their own seat ahead of the new season.

Early Bird general sales will commence from 10am on Monday 13th June as originally planned, but season ticket holders who have yet to renew will now have their seats held until Sunday 19th June. All remaining seats will become available to purchase from 10am on Monday 20th June.

Football staff additions

We are delighted to welcome Martin Foyle, Gerry Docherty and Gary McColl to the club as we fill a number of positions within the club.

Martin Foyle has officially joined St Mirren as our new Head of Recruitment. Martin brings a wealth of experience having performed similar roles at the likes of Motherwell, Northampton and Morecambe.

Martin also boasts a wealth of coaching and managerial experience at the likes of Port Vale, Wrexham, York City, Bristol Rovers, Northwich Victoria, Hereford United and Southport, while making over 500 career appearances as a player at clubs like Southampton, Aldershot, Oxford United and Port Vale.

Gerry Docherty returns to the club having previously worked at Saints as Head of Physiotherapy between 2011 and 2015. Gerry is another highly-experienced appointment having also worked at Dundee, Dunfermline, Falkirk, Millwall and Raith Rovers in a 30+ year career.

Last but not least, Gary McColl has joined us from Dundee as our Lead Sports Scientist. As well as working at Dundee where he was Head of Sports Science, Gary was also first-team sports scientist at Dunfermline Athletic whilst previously holding roles at Heart of Midlothian's academy and women's team. He took up his role before the end of last season - replacing Junior Mendes who departed the club in January.

On the new additions, St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson told stmirren.com: "I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Martin, Gerry and Gary to St Mirren and I’m certain that all three will be great assets for us going forward.

Martin is someone I have worked with throughout my management career. He played a big part in what we did at Motherwell and Morecambe and I think it’s fantastic to have him onboard here to renew our partnership at St Mirren.

"He has got a great ability to find to players you’ve never heard of and produce gems that have been sold on for millions of pounds. I think it’s a great addition for the football club.

"Gerry joins us as one of the most experienced physios in football. He’s worked extensively in Scotland and England and brings a great experience to the staff that is already here.

"Lastly, Gary McColl comes highly recommended. In the short time he has been in at the football club we have seen vast improvements and look forward to him enhancing the whole staff and squad going forward."

How to Renew

You will have until midnight on Sunday 19th June before we release all remaining seats from the loyalty period into general sale.

The simplest and fastest way to renew your tickets is online, but if you require support, please visit the ticket office or call 0141 840 6120. Further, you can email tickets@stmirren.com. We ask that if you call or email, please only do this once because we will get to you in order that the call or email was made.

We have created a guide to support you in renewing your season ticket. The step-by-step process is outlined below:

Please visit stmirren.com/seasontickets to start your renewal process.

  1. You will be asked for your 13-digit barcode number so please ensure you have it ready. If you have bought multiple season tickets any of these barcodes will work. The barcode is printed on your current season ticket or can be found on the email that confirmed your season ticket for the 2021/22.
  2. After you have entered your barcode, you will be taken to a screen that will highlight the seats in your previous order.
  3. If you wish to continue without any changes from the previous season, select add to basket and go to checkout where you can make payment for your order.
  4. a. If you no longer require one of your seats, click on the seat to deselect it and it will be removed from your order
    b. If you wish to change seats, then please deselect your current seat and pick any available seat to add to your order.
    c. If you wish to change your season ticket type based on a change of circumstances, click on the seat that you wish to change to deselect it and then select it again and chose the appropriate ticket type. (Please note if you are selecting a concession or ambulant for the first time then your ticket will be ‘live’ once you have provided proof of your concession).
    d. If you wish to add another seat to your order, you will be able to select any of the available seats and choose the appropriate ticket type.
    e. To continue, please add to basket and proceed to checkout where you can make payment for your order.
    f. We ask that you take the time to fill in the correct information for each of the season ticket holders in order that names, ticket types and seats match accordingly. Please check these details before you complete your order.

New Season Ticket Cards

All season ticket holders will receive a new season ticket card for the 2022/23 season. Moving forward our season ticket card will feature a more user-friendly QR code rather than a barcode. The entry process will remain the same, but the move to a QR code will allow us to reactivate the same cards year-on-year.

Ambulant Ticket Renewal

Renewal for any fan who is currently in receipt of an ambulant ticket, and entitled to a free carer ticket, will be slightly different this season.

Please follow all the steps as above but ensure you deselect your seat and reselect it under the ambulant category. This allows us to provide you with the appropriate seating for yourself and a carer. Do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any issues.

Family Tickets (Tony Fitzpatrick Family Stand) Ticket Renewal

As always, we are delighted to offer fans the superb value of our family ticket. It now incorporates two adults and up to three children under the age of 17. You may be eligible for this offer when you previously weren’t.

This bundle will not be available online, so we ask that you visit the ticket office during opening hours to benefit from this great deal, either as a renewal or as a change of ticket type.

First-team players representing on the international stage

While the domestic season may have finished several weeks ago, there are still a few Saints that have been in action on international duty.

Jay Henderson, Dylan Reid, Alex Greive and Trevor Carson have all been called up by their respective countries during this latest international window.

Jay and Dylan have been representing Scotland at Under-21 and Under-17 level.

Jay was an unused substitute in Scotland U21s battling 0-0 draw with Belgium in Sint-Truiden. The Scotland U21s will face Denmark on Friday 10th June in Velje.

Meanwhile, Dylan played all 90 minutes in Scotland U17s three UEFA U17 Championship matches against Portugal, Denmark and Sweden in Israel at the end of last month. Unfortunately, the Scotland U17s were beaten in all three matches with France going on to win the tournament.

Alex Greive is aiming to help New Zealand qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with their Intercontinental Play-Off match against Costa Rica taking place on Tuesday 14th June.

The 23-year-old started and played 70 minutes in the All Whites 1-0 loss to Peru on Sunday.

Trevor Carson is away with Northern Ireland on UEFA Nations League duty, but the experienced shot-stopper has been an unused substitute in matches against Greece and Cyprus.

We wish those still on international duty all the best in their remaining matches.

Daniel Finlayson joins Linfield on loan

Daniel Finlayson has joined Linfield on loan until the end of the season.

Daniel will take the next step in his football development with the NIFL Premiership side after a fruitful loan spell at cinch League Two champions Kelty Hearts last season.

The 21-year-old defender has made four first-team appearances for St Mirren since joining from Rangers in October 2020 - the last of which came in a 3-1 win against Stenhousemuir in the Premier Sports Cup last July. Saints retain the option to recall Daniel in January.

Everyone at St Mirren wishes Daniel all the best in his time at Linfield.
